What an unforgettable weekend at Cypress Cove! Our annual Nude-A-Palooza Charity Tribute Band Festival once again brought together an incredible mix of music, community, and generosity — all wrapped in that signature Cove spirit. From the electric tribute performances to the laid-back, clothing-optional atmosphere, this year’s celebration truly hit all the right notes.

A special highlight of the week was “Cheesecakes for Boobies,” the beloved fundraiser spearheaded by our very own Herman. In the days leading up to the event, Herman transformed the Game Room into a cheesecake lover’s dream, baking dozens of decadent creations — all in support of the fight against cancer. This cause remains deeply personal to him, and his dedication continues to inspire us all.

This year, Herman once again outdid himself, raising an amazing $4,800 from his bake sale! Every dollar was added to the festival’s grand total donation to the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation. Cheesecakes for Boobies returns October 16, 2027, featuring a brand-new Whole Cheesecake Sampler Auction (auctioned at Nude-A-Palooza before the last band) you won’t want to miss!

When the final notes faded, we proudly presented the Foundation with a check for over $22,958 — an incredible achievement made possible by our guests, residents, volunteers, and staff. 

From all of us at Cypress Cove, thank you for showing up with open hearts and generous spirits. Your energy, kindness, and enthusiasm remind us why this event is so special year after year.

Here’s to breaking even more records in 2027 — bigger, better, and bolder than ever! If you’re planning to join the fun, be sure to book early — rooms fill up fast, and next year will require a three-night minimum stay.

Another Cypress Cove Tradition of Giving

Nude-A-Palooza isn’t the only time the Cypress Cove community comes together for a great cause.

Each summer, Cypress Cove hosts Parrothead Weekend, a four-day tropical celebration filled with music, fun, community, and fundraising. Throughout the summer, Ric and Laurel lead an incredible fundraising effort benefiting the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, culminating in the much-anticipated Parrothead Raffle during the final day of the festival.

Thanks to the generosity of our residents, guests, volunteers, donors, and community partners, the 2026 fundraiser reached an incredible new milestone:

$33,100 raised — a new record!

From donated raffle prizes and handcrafted baskets to volunteer hours, financial contributions, and countless acts of generosity, the fundraiser represents the very best of the Cypress Cove community.

Together, Parrothead Weekend and Nude-A-Palooza demonstrate something we are especially proud of at Cypress Cove: we know how to have an unforgettable time while making a meaningful difference.
