Body painting and nudism are a natural fit... where else can art truly meet skin? At Cypress Cove, artists are free to work in the open air, turning live canvases into breathtaking works of art. Resort guests can catch glimpses of the creative process throughout the day in person. But most will wait in eager anticipation for the grand reveal at judging time!

This year, we’re cranking up the excitement for our Professional Body Painting Contest — and giving YOU the power to help shape the event!

Whether you're a professional artist ready to transform skin into a masterpiece or a guest eager to witness the magic, this event promises a day full of color, creativity, and fun.

Here are your theme choices... and they're as bold as the art itself:

Living Masterpieces: Watch famous works of art come alive as artists reimagine Van Gogh’s swirling skies, Frida Kahlo’s rich symbolism, Pollock’s wild splatters, and more.

Graffiti & Street Art: Bold lines, bright colors, and urban edge take center stage. Think spray cans, brick walls, and raw street culture splashed across the human canvas.

Mythical Realms: Dragons, fairies, centaurs, unicorns — fantasy creatures spring from imagination into vibrant, magical reality.

Cinematic Skin: Iconic movies leap off the screen and onto the skin, bringing beloved films to life in a whole new way.

The more imaginative you get, the better! To support our artists and models, we’ll provide lunch and ensure everyone has an indoor, air-conditioned workspace. We’ve also scheduled an hour break for lunch and another hour for photography before the judging begins, so everyone can capture these one-of-a-kind creations in full detail.

Painters Event Schedule:
10:00 am - 11:00 am - Registration for painters and models.
11:00 am - Brief Orientation
11:30 am - Painters will be allowed in the completion room to choose their spot and set up.
12:00 pm - Painting begins
3:00 pm - Lunch (provided for all models and painters)
4:00 pm - Painting continues
6:00 pm - Painting stops. Painters and their canvases are escorted to photography and judging.
7:00 pm - Painters and models and escorted to Lakeside Restaurant for the reveal.

The prizes for the event will be as follows:

First Prize - $500 + a 3 Day / 2 Night Stay at Cypress Cove + a Swag Bag
Second Prize - $250 + a Swag Bag
Third Prize - $150 + a Swag Bag
