Mardi Gras Date Change – Mark Your Calendars!

The Mardi Gras Committee has an exciting update to share: this year’s Mardi Gras Celebration at Cypress Cove will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Why the change? We want to make sure no one misses out! By shifting the celebration just a bit, our Cove family can enjoy Mardi Gras in the best of both worlds:

• Those sailing away on the Nude Cruise will be back in time to join the festivities right here at home.
• Those planning to head to New Orleans can still soak in the Big Easy experience—and then relive it with us, Cove-style (and clothing optional!).

Mardi Gras at the Cove is all about celebration—and this move helps ensure more members and guests can join in the parades, beads, music, food, and fun that define the tradition. If you've already made reservations for the original dates, please give us a call at 407-933-5870 to change your dates.

Mark your calendars, dust off those masks and costumes, take note of the theme: Mardi Gras — Cove Style, and get ready to laissez les bon temps rouler—Cove-style—on March 3!

Cheesecakes for Boobies!

As part of our Nude-A-Palooza celebration, we were proud to feature Cheesecakes for Boobies—a heartfelt initiative created and led by our beloved bartender, Herman. In the week leading up to the big event, Herman transforms the game room into a cheesecake lover’s paradise, offering dozens of his homemade creations by the slice or as whole cakes.

This cause is deeply personal for Herman, who has stood by several family members through their cancer journeys. His passion and dedication have made an extraordinary impact—last year, his bake sale alone raised a record-breaking $3,964, every penny of which was added to our grand donation. Together, Nude-A-Palooza 2024 raised nearly $14,000 for the Florida Cancer Specialist Foundation, despite the challenges of back-to-back hurricanes.

Herman is already preparing for another round of sweetness and generosity! Join us in the game room on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12–4 pm for this amazing bake sale. Whole cheesecakes can be pre-ordered by emailing Newsletter@CypressCoveResort.com.

Limited Edition Tai Chi

Join Barbara in the Game Room for a gentle and uplifting Tai Chi session designed to improve balance, coordination, and mindfulness. You’ll learn eight simple Tai Chi movements that have been shown to enhance stability and confidence—especially helpful for seniors.

When:

All are welcome! Participants will be asked to sign a brief liability waiver before class.

BeerFest at Cypress Cove

This year, we’re raising our glasses (and maybe testing our arm strength) to celebrate beer the way it was meant to be... through games, laughter, and a whole lot of good times! Our original beer presentation may have tapped out, but we’re just getting started.

Get ready for BeerFest: Game Edition! Try your hand at the viral Beer Puppeteer Challenge, go head-to-head in Beer Pong and Giant Beer Pong, and flex those muscles in the ultimate Beer Stein Holding Contest... an authentic Oktoberfest favorite.

Add in pool parties, karaoke, cheesecake bake sale, live music, and a late-night dance, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a weekend you’ll never forget. Grab your friends, grab a pint, and join us for a cheers-worthy celebration of beer, games, and community at Cypress Cove!

Halloween Events at Cypress Cove

Get ready for a frightfully fun weekend where the Cove comes alive after dark! Friday night kicks off with Speed Limit 70 rocking the Halloween Party at Lakeside... plus trick-or-treating for the kids, Halloween Trivia, a Costume Contest, and a glow-lit pool party that’ll keep the vibes hauntingly good all night long.

Then on Saturday, November 1, the thrills roll on as Lakeside Live presents the Charlie Redd Band, followed by our Halloween Hayride featuring the Haunted Illuminations Spectacle! Residents, deck out your homes and sign up to be part of the route—our hayriders will cast votes for their favorite display, and the winner will snag a wickedly fun Boos Basket!

It’s two nights of chills, cheers, and cheers-to-you beers—because nobody does Halloween like Cypress Cove. Grab a drink and join your friends around the fire pit. We'll see you there!

Surprisingly, these beautiful bathing suits are not real. They are body paint!

The Harvest Craft Fair on Saturday was filled with handcrafted treasures handmade by our talented members.

New members Pam & Mike came down from Georgia with their home-grown Luffa sponges and handcrafted soaps.

These amazing fall door hangers were for sale, and she is offering a class to make them yourself.

A little rain couldn't stop the volleyball players from having a fun weekend. The players appreciated the cooler fall temps.

A new band, Justin & The Outs, was great and kept the dance floor at Lakeside Restaurant full all night long.

This talented musician played keyboard, saxophone, clarinet, flute, and mouth organ. Often, a couple of them at the same time.

The 1st Sunday of every month, Breakfast Buffet at Lakeside Restaurant.

Live Poolside Music with Charlie on Sunday afternoon. A great selection of sing-along music.
