Join us this Friday morning at 10:15 AM in the Lakeside Restaurant as Paul LeValley presents a fascinating slideshow from his book In His Own Image Created He Them: Nude Illustrations of Bible Stories.
In addition to familiar figures like Adam, Eve, David, and baby Jesus, you’ll discover lesser-known characters such as Isaiah, Susannah, Judith, and the fishermen of Lake Galilee. For centuries, artists have adorned churches and synagogues with nude paintings, sculptures, mosaics, and stained-glass windows. This is your chance to enjoy a quick, entertaining, and eye-opening art history lesson.
Following the slideshow, Paul will host a book signing.

Friday, July 18:
Kick off the weekend with DJ Dave’s pool party starting at noon. Test your trivia chops at Scuttlebutts with Dave’s Bar Trivia at 6 pm, then keep the party going with DJ Xavier’s evening pool party under the stars.
Saturday, July 19:
The island fun continues with DJ Xavier back poolside at noon. Over at the lakefront, the IslandFest Cardboard Boat Race begins building at noon—come cheer on your favorite teams as they craft their creative vessels. These boats set sail at 4 pm, so don't be late. Later, don’t miss Super Mega Trivia 3000 at 6 pm at Scuttlebutts, followed by The Caribbean Experience taking the Lakeside Live stage at 7 pm. Be sure to call 407-933-3588 to grab your Lakeside dinner reservations!
Cardboard Boat Race:

We're kicking off the festivities on Thursday to pack in all the fun! What's a Parrothead? Parrotheads are fans of Jimmy Buffett's music, embracing the laid-back island culture and, of course, loving to party! Are you ready to join the fun?

The Parrothead Raffle: Don't miss the raffle benefitting The American Cancer Society on Sunday, July 27th at 2:30 pm at the West Pool. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. There are over 100 prizes to be awarded! You can check out the prizes LISTED HERE, on the photo wall in the gameroom, or on display in the clubhouse (in-person viewing will be available beginning Friday, July 25 from 11 am to 2 pm, Saturday, July 26 from 11 am to 2 pm and Sunday, July 27 from 11 am to 1:30 pm). The Christmas in July Craft Fair was a delightful variety of handcrafted items. We have so many talented crafters and artisans.
Treasures included crocheted items, jewelry, local art, festive wreaths, essential oils, soaps, and unique Christmas ornaments.
The Open House was a great success, and the VIP Tours introduced our visitors to the beauty & freedom of Cypress Cove.
