AANR 2022 Mid-Winter Meeting
Cypress Cove Nudist Resort is honored to have been chosen to host The American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) 2022 midwinter meeting of the AANR leadership!
There will be an open house at the AANR office located at 1703 N Main Street, Kissimmee, FL from 9 am - 12:00 on Friday, February 4 where you can meet the staff. After the open house, follow them back to Cypress Cove for a brief opening session beginning at 1:30 pm. On Saturday, February 5 at 9 am the meeting reconvenes at the Cove. The meeting is a great opportunity to learn about the exciting things the association is doing in membership, government affairs, and public relations. Come out and see what's happening with AANR! There will be a meet-and-greet cocktail party Friday at 6 pm located at the Dayroom. Members are welcome!
Interactive Art Exhibit: Boundaries, Borders, and Walls
The Cypress Cove community, including year-round and seasonal residents and all visitors, are invited to participate in this multi-national, multi-continental art project. This experience will take place on February 5 & 6 from 12 pm - 4 pm at the gazebo next to Cheeks.
Tell the world that we are more alike than different through art or the written word. Meet the founding artists and see some of the over 750 individually-created artworks from 4 continents, 12 countries, 8 states, and 1 province. Nothing is being bought, sold, or charged. If you would like to contribute to the exhibit, your artistic additions will travel the world and be shared with others, both in person and electronically. Visit the exhibit for more information.
Everyone creates boundaries, borders, and walls that isolate us from one another. Help break down these barriers through art and word to understand each other better and create a better world. Make sure you visit their Facebook page for more information.
A Bathrobe Party!
It's getting quite cold down here! We've noticed our Canadian friends are even bundling up in Florida. This weather is making it hard to get out of our bathrobes, so we've decided not to! Everyone is invited to join A Taste of Love on Saturday, February 5 at 7 pm poolside as they play your favorite tunes. There will be a contest for the "best bathrobe," so get creative if you want to participate. Judging will happen at 9 pm. Like always here at Cypress Cove, no fancy attire is required. Throw on your comfiest bathrobe, towel, or sweatpants, and meet us at the West Pool. Looking to purchase one? Visit the Fig Leaf Boutique for a special Cypress Cove robe.
Updates Happening Around the Cove
It's so cold a rainy here in Florida this week, but we're still hard at work making this the best au natural vacation spot on the east coast. Check out the current projects happening now at the Cove.
The new roofs on buildings four and five are now complete. The other buildings were completed in late 2021.
We've just received a new shipment of tables and chairs matching the ones in Cheeks. They will be replacing the tables and chairs under the pool cabanas and Old Cheeks. The next shipment will replace the ones outside of the Villas.
New siding going up on the outside of the main office. This will be part of our updated theme around the resort. We can't wait to show you the final results.
Are you visiting Cypress Cove soon? Come out to Cheeks and play a round of darts on our BRAND NEW dartboards. These are free-play, top-of-the-line dart boards by Spider 360. Grab a drink and meet some new friends.
Our new pool table arrived early at Cheeks. It's already set up and looks great. Like the new darts machines, it's free to play if you want to come check it out.
Full Moon Gathering is Back
Join us at the Full Moon Gathering happening on February 16 at 6 pm. The Full Moon Gathering is held on the shores of Lake Brown. This month's moon is a Full Snow Moon. The moon is expected to rise at 6:23 pm after the sun sets at 6:17 pm. In the 1760s, Captain Jonathan Carver, who had visited the Naudowessie (Dakota tribe) and others, wrote that the name used for this period was the Snow Moon, “because more snow commonly falls during this month than any other in the winter.”
