Cypress Cove’s Chef Michael Rosado was on a mission to spread good cheer this holiday season. With the full support of general manager Peter Sewall, Rosado & his team at Lakeside Restaurant prepared 50 meals for homeless people in the Kissimmee/Poinciana area. While he was at it, he also gathered donations of winter clothing from around the Cypress Cove community. After a call of action from the social media channels, Rosado managed to gather a car full of winter clothing in just 48 hours. Packing his car with clothing and food, he took the streets in search of individuals in need. The homeless that he encountered were thankful and delighted to be receiving these gifts from Chef Michael and the Cypress Cove community. When asked about why he decided to do this, Rosado simply stated, “Maybe we help someone today and one day they can pass it on to someone else who needs it in the future.” We are proud of Chef Michael’s efforts in helping the homeless in our local community.
