Cypress Cove Nudist Resort is sending a team of chefs to compete in the Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association’s (CFHLA) fourteenth annual Ultimate Chef Competition, which will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Caribe Royale Orlando during the CFHLA’s annual tradeshow.
Representing Cypress Cove in the competition will be Assistant Food & Beverage Manager Jose Matos and Executive Sous Chef Michael Rosado.
"It is our honor to represent Cypress Cove Nudist Resort during this competition," said Chef Matos. " We have come up with a special dish to showcase what the culinary team at our resort is capable of creating. Our team hopes to bring home a trophy and put Cypress Cove's name out there so others can experience everything we have to offer."
The Ultimate Chef Competition has been a major draw for the 30-year-old CFHLA hospitality expo and tradeshow. Ten chefs representing major Orlando area resorts will compete for first, second, and third place notoriety, with blind judging by special guest chefs and gourmets. Event attendees will also have an opportunity to judge the competition by voting in a people’s choice award using a special app that has been created just for this competition.
“I am very proud of our resort’s culinary team and the opportunity to showcase their talents in such a high-profile venue as the CFHLA HEAT competition,” said Cypress Cove General Manager Peter Sewall. “These men and women have developed an exciting food and beverage program, and through their passion I’m pleased to show the Central Florida area why Cypress Cove Nudist Resort has earned its seat at the table.”
The CFHLA tradeshow and Ultimate Chef Competition are not open to the public, but foodies who want a taste of what the Cypress Cove Nudist Resort team has to offer are certainly invited to visit the resort’s Lakeside Restaurant where they can discover fine dining in a truly unique atmosphere.
Cypress Cove offers a daily “Dine and Dip” special where guests visiting after 5:00 p.m. can enter the resort for half price, and the lowered entry fee will be applied to a dinner at one of the resort’s restaurants. After dinner, guests can then go for a dip in the pool and enjoy evening entertainment.
